Our modern production plant is just outside Grevena, a region renowned for producing Greece’s most delicious dairy. In the foothills of the Grevena Mountains, in the heart of Greece's largest national park, we are surrounded by lush meadows and wild forests, a habitat for hundreds of plant and animal species. Nomadic shepherds have roamed these valleys for centuries.
We operate our own sheep, goat and cow farms. Our certified organic farms also function as educational centres where we share our expertise in low-impact agriculture and animal welfare with our suppliers. We work with over 300 local farmers to ensure the production of pure milk of the highest quality.
Kourellas is much more than a dairy. We actively work to promote sustainable farming and minimize our environmental impact. We teach local farmers the value of crop rotation, avoiding chemicals and fertilizers, and protecting forests and pastures. As part of our campaign to put Grevena on the map as a world-class destination for dairy production, we achieved PDO status for Anevato, a soft cheese distinctive to the region.
In 2016, we brought our authentic Greek yogurt to health-conscious consumers in the US. We teamed up with American farmers who share our values: purity, freshness, and quality. So now you can eat like a Greek, locally.
